Rodriguez Scores Touchdown In Team USA's 77-0 Shutout Over Korea

KAWASAKI, JAPAN - Christopher Newport football player Rob Rodriguez contributed a touchdown in Team USA's 77-0 shutout win in the team's first game of the 2007 World Championship of American Football on Tuesday.

The team set several World Championship records and tied several others. USA set a new record for the longest kick-off return and punt return as well as hitting 11 point-after attempts. Team USA set a new record for rushing touchdowns (4), return yards, fewest yards allowed and fewest first downs.

The team tied the record for fewest points allowed and individual rushing touchdowns.

Team USA returns to action Thursday as they take on Germany at 3 pm. The winner advances to the Gold Medal game.
