Rodriguez Named To D3football.com Team Of The Week STERLING, VA - Christopher Newport defensive back Rob Rodriguez was named to the d3football.com Team of the Week, the site announced. Rodriguez, a junior from Virginia Beach, had a huge game for the Captains in last weekend's win over Shenandoah. He started the game by returning the opening kick-off 90 yards for a touchdown. Later in the first quarter, Rodriguez blocked a punt that was returned for a score. He also had an interception in the game and made five tackles as the Captains evened their record at 2-2 and improved to 2-0 in the USA South Athletic Conference. CNU returns to action this Saturday as they travel to Greensboro with kick-off set for 1 pm. |
