NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Greensboro College advanced to the USA South Men's Soccer Tournament Championship with a 2-1 win in double overtime over second seed NC Wesleyan Friday evening.

The Pride will meet Christopher Newport in the championship on Saturday at 7 pm. CNU, the top seed, defeated No. 4 Methodist, 5-0.

Eric Hatchet scored both of the Pride's goals. He tied the score in the 26th minute when he put one in the back of the net from about five yards out after a beautiful cross from the right side from Ben Norman.

Hatchett would put the game-winner home from about five yards out in the 102nd minute unassisted to put the Pride into the championship.

Oz Otoo game the Bishops an early 1-0 lead in the 16th minute unassisted when he cranked one from about 20 yards away.

Greensboro out shot NC Wesleyan 14-11. GC keeper Kurt Gardiner had four saves and the Bishops Renato Corte made eight saves.

The Bishops fall to 15-1-2 and are now hoping for an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. GC improves to 11-8-1.
