Baseball Limits Dickinson To Four Hits, Downs The Red Devils, 5-0

CARLISLE, PA - Christopher Newport's baseball team combined to hold Dickinson to four hits in a 5-0 win Monday afternoon.

The Captains scored twice in the top of the first and added three more in the top of the fourth for the win.

Mark Genovese led the way offensively for CNU by going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Michael Kurbjeweit finished 2-for-3 with a RBI and run scored and Trae Bailey finished 2-for-4.

Zach Hutchison was 1-for-5 with two runs driven in.

Ian Lenda tossed seven strong innings to improve to 3-3 on the year. The freshman allowed two hits, walked one and struck out four. Brandon Berry tossed the eighth, allowing one hit and striking out one and Kevin Moreland pitched the ninth, also allowing one hit.

Dickinson falls to 10-23 on the year while Christopher Newport improves to 23-15. CNU returns to action Saturday as they travel to Salisbury with first pitch set for 2 pm.
