Women's Lacrosse Ranked Sixth In South-Atlantic Region

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Christopher Newport's women's lacrosse team, enjoying its best season in program history, is the sixth-ranked team in the South-Atlantic Region, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

The Lady Captains are 11-7 overall on the year became the first team in the USA South to earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tourbament. 2006 was the first year the USA South had enough teams in its conference to qualify for the NCAA's automatic bid into the tournament.
