Conques And Hankins Named Second Team All-Region

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE - Christopher Newport women's lacrosse players Kristen Conques and Kristyn Hankins were named Second Team All-Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Wednesday.

Conques was a First Team All-USA South performer and led the team in goals with 54, assists with 34 and points with 88. She finishes her career as the program's leader in career goals, assists and points. She will also play in the IWLCA's annual North/South All-Star game. Conques was also named to the USA South's All-Tournament team as she helped her squad to back-to-back USA South Tournament titles. Conques was a First Team All-Region selection in 2006.

Hankins was also a First Team All-Conference choice. The senior was second on the team in goals with 41, assists with 25 and points with 66. Hankins was also a Second Team All-Region pick a year ago. Hankins finishes her career second on the school's all-time goals list, assists and points list, behind Conques.
