Raveia Named Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport women's lacrosse head coach Kwame Lloyd has announced the appointment of Carolyn Raveia as his new assistant coach late last week.

Raveia is a 2007 graduate of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Raveia was also a dean's list member all four years.

While at Monmouth, she helped lead her team to two Northeast Conference championships and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She finished her career third on the school's all-time list in goals scored with 174. Raveia was twice named All-Northeast Conference and was also a team captain.

She was also honored as the NJAIAW Woman of the year and named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll. Raveia received the Bill Boylan Award and was a member of the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District team as a senior. She was also named the NEC Spring Scholar Athlete of the Year for women's lacrosse and Raveia was a member of the Lambda Sigma Tau Honor Society.
