Men's Basketball Ranked 18th In D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25 Poll

STERLING, VA - Christopher Newport's men's basketball team found itself ranked 18th in the d3hoops.com preseason top 25 poll released Wednesday afternoon.

The Captains finished 20-8 overall in 2006 and 9-3 in conference play. CNU defeated Averett 89-88 in overtime to capture the 2005-2006 USA South Conference Tournament Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament. The Captains lost 102-96 at Lincoln (PA) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

Christopher Newport kicks-off the 2006-2007 season on Friday, November 17 when they host York (NY) with tip set for 7:30 pm.
