Men's Lacrosse Wins Second, Downs Hood, 15-3

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport's men's lacrosse team defeated Hood 15-3 at Captains Field on Saturday afternoon.

CNU lead 9-0 at the break and 14-0 after three quarters of play.

Eric Huggins, Logan Keyser, Chris Quigley and Mike Burns each had three goals to pace the Captains. Ryan Merrell finished with two scores while James Gannon added a single goal.

Keyser led the way with three assists as Quigley, Burns and Michael Turk finished with one assist each.

CNU out-shot the Blazers 27-18.

Hood falls to 0-4 on the year while Christopher Newport is now 2-0. CNU returns to action Wednesday as they travel to Catholic with start time set for 3:30 pm.
