Men's Lacrosse Falls At Eastern (PA), 11-8

ST. DAVID'S, PA - Christopher Newport's men's lacrosse team dropped its seventh straight, falling 11-8 at Eastern Monday afternoon.

The game was close for the first three periods. Eastern led 2-1 after one and 5-4 at the half. The Eagles maintained their lead at the end of three, 6-5. The difference was a five-goal outburst by Eastern in the fourth stanza, securing the win.

Logan Keyser led the offensive attack for the Captains with five goals and one assist. Ryan Merrell added one score and two helpers while Michael Turk finished with a goal and an assist. Mike Burns scored once and Nick Cavallaro added an assist.

Christopher Newport out-shot the Eagles, 37-33. Ray Ralph had 10 saves in goal for CNU.

The Captains are now 4-7 overall while Eastern improves to 5-7. CNU returns to action for its final home game of the year on Saturday as they host Guilford at 1 pm.
