Sinclair Joins Men's Lacrosse Staff

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport University’s men’s lacrosse Coach Chris Swanenburg announced the hiring of ANDY SINCLAIR as head assistant men’s lacrosse coach.

Sinclair comes to CNU after spending the last three years as an assistant at Lynchburg College, and will join Kevin Pall on Swanenburg’s staff.

Sinclair was a four-year letter-winner at Lynchburg before graduating in 2003 with a degree in sociology. He was most recently the offensive coordinator on the staff of Steve Koudelka with the Hornets. During Sinclair’s tenure at Lynchburg, the Hornets established themselves as one of the top men’s programs in Division III.

“I am delighted Andy will be joining our coaching staff and feel very fortunate that we were able to attract someone with his level of experience and knowledge,” Swanenburg said. “He will immediately assume numerous and significant duties within the program and Coach Pall and I are really looking forward to working with him.”

The Christopher Newport men’s lacrosse program will field a team for the first time ever in the spring of 2007, becoming the 22 nd intercollegiate sport offered by the school.
