Merrell Named Second Team All-State
ASHLAND, VA - Christopher Newport men's lacrosse midfield Ryan Merrell was named Second Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
The Captains completed their first season and began the year by the winning their first four games and finished 4-9 in 2007.
Merrell, a sophomore from Burke, VA, led the team with 28 goals and 33 points. He also finished with three game-winning goals and four man-up scores. Merrell also finished with 70 ground balls and won 38% of his face-offs.
