McClintock Elected To MAISA Executive Committee

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - CNU sailor Kate McClintock was elected to serve as one of the two southern representatives to the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Executive Committee.

McClintock is a junior from Midlothian, VA. She has been a member of the team since the fall of 2004. She has been a Co-captain of the team for two years and she was named a Co-MVP of the team for the 2005-2006 season.

While most sailors want the helm, Kate has always done whatever was best for the team and she often passed on the chance to skipper when an accomplished crew was needed. She has represented the school at sailing events from Charleston, South Carolina to Columbus, Ohio and north to Kingston, Ontario.

McClintock's election to the Executive Committee retains CNU’s strong involvement with the administration of MAISA as Dan Winters, the CNU coach, was ineligible for reelection after his fourth two-year term. Coach Winters will be continuing as the MAISA Scheduler.
