Volleyball Downs Cross-Water Rival VA Wesleyan, 3-1

NORFOLK, VA - Christopher Newport's volleyball team defeated cross-water rival VA Wesleyan 3-1 Tuesday evening.

The Lady Captains won by scores of 32-30, 30-26, 22-30 and 30-23.

CNU was led by Brittany Collins' triple-double. The sophomore setter finished with 13 kills, 37 assists and 15 digs. Amber Bradshaw finished with 15 kills and 16 digs. Erin Bradshaw added 12 kills and nine digs, Ellen Koch contributed nine kills and Jenna Williams added 26 digs.

The Lady Captains improve to 18-3 overall on the year while the Lady Marlins fall to 12-5. CNU returns to action this weekend starting Fridau in the Guilford College Tournament. CNU takes on Piedmont at 5:30 pm and Guilford at 7:30 pm.
