Bush Named USA South Volleyball Rookie Of The Year, Willams Libero Of The Year, Sheppard Coach Of The Year FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Christopher Newport freshman Liz Bush was named USA South Volleyball Rookie of the Year, Jenna Williams was named Libero of the Year and Head Coach Lindsay Sheppard was named Coach of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. Bush, a Springfield, VA native was instrumental in the Lady Captains co-regular season championship. She was fourth on the team in kills with 246, had an attack percentage of .298 and is second on the squad in total blocks with 74. She was named Second Team All-Conference. Williams, a Manassas, VA native, led CNU in digs for the second consecutive year with 522 and is 10 digs off her own school record for digs in a season. She, too, was named Second Team All-Conference. Sheppard was named Coach of the Year for the second time in her four seasons at the helm. She also won the award in 2002. She has led her squad to back-to-back 30-win seasons, the first time in program history. Her team is the second seed in the 2005 USA South Conference Tournament and is 30-5 heading into Friday's match with Averett at 4 pm. Amber Bradshaw and Brittany Collins were named First Team All-Conference. Bradshaw, a Chesapeake, VA native, leads the Lady Captains in kills with 331, second in service aces with 71 and third in digs with 271. Collins, a Richmond, VA native, leads the Lady Captains with three triple-doubles on the year, she's tops on the squad in assists with 1131, and leads the team in service aces with 91. She's second on the team in digs with 334 and third in total blocks with 68. Earning Honorable Mention honors were Erin Bradshaw and Ellen Koch. Bradshaw, a Chesapeake, VA native, is third on the squad in kills with 260 and fourth in digs with 223. She also has 38 aces and 31 total blocks. Koch, a Crozet, VA native, is second on the squad in kills with 270 and has 39 total blocks on the year. First Team All-Conference
