Women's Basketball To Take On Dickinson In First Round NCAA Tournament Game

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport's women's basketball team will play Dickinson (PA) on Friday at 4:30 pm at Mary Washington in a first round NCAA Tournament game.

Tickets for the games will be on sale at the Freeman Center ticket office beginning Wednesday morning at 9 am. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. Tickets will also be available at Goolrick Gymnasium each day.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, students, and children 2 and up. Children under 2 are free.

The Lady Captains are 20-8 and are coming off a 77-53 win over top-seed Ferrum in the USA South Conference Tournament Championship game on Saturday. Dickinson enters post-season play with an overall record of 22-5. Dickinson received one of 20 at-large bids into the NCAA Tournament.

Mary Washington is the host of this four-team sub-regional. The Eagles will play the College of Notre Dame (MD) at 7 pm and the two winners will meet on Saturday, also at 7 pm.
