No. 7 Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision To Lynchburg

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport's women's soccer team dropped its second straight match, falling 1-0 to Lynchburg 1-0 Sunday afternoon.

Ashley Hoath scored the game's only goal in the 54th minute when, after a Hornet free-kick, she put home a loose ball in the box.

LC out-shot the Captains, 14-9. Erin Wojtkun had six saves in goal for Christopher Newport.

CNU falls to 3-2 on the year. The Captains return to action Sept. 19 when they travel to Shenandoah with kick-off set for 4 pm.
