LACROSSE LOSES FIRST GAME IN SCHOOL HISTORY TO ST. MARY’S, 27-1

  NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The lacrosse team played its first game in school history and lost to nationally-ranked St. Mary’s, 27-1, Friday at CNU.

  The Lady Captains got on the board early as Mary Cortina scored the first goal in CNU history just 3:25 into the first half, but the Seahawks pulled away to a 19-1 halftime lead.

St. Mary’s is now 5-0.

  CNU plays at home next Tuesday against Virginia Wesleyan.
