LACROSSE WINS FIRST, TOPS SHENANDOAH, 12-7

  WINCHESTER, Va. – The lacrosse team won its first game in history, a 12-7 Dixie Conference victory at Shenandoah Saturday.

  Mary Cortina led the Lady Captains with five goals and one assist. CNU took an 8-4 halftime lead.

  Wendy Wilson and Maggie Olson each added two goals and one assist, while Sarah Cockerille added two goals and Meagan Pfarr had one. Fran Patton and Tomisha Adkisson each had an assist.

  In goal Robyn Charles had six saves and Patton had four.

  CNU is now 1-7 and 1-1 in Dixie Conference play. The Lady Captains conclude the regular season at home against Greensboro next Saturday.
