LACROSSE FALLS TO GREENSBORO, 11-3

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The lacrosse team dropped its regular season finale, falling to Greensboro, 11-3, at Captains Field Saturday.

The Lady Captains trailed just 5-3 at halftime, and that only due to a Pride goal with seven seconds left in the half. But CNU could not match the Dixie Conference regular season champs in the second half. Wendy Wilson scored twice for CNU and Erin Bell once.

CNU, which is now 1-8 overall and 1-2 in Dixie play, will play Ferrum in the semi-finals of the Dixie Tournament next Saturday at Captains Field with Greensboro meeting Shenandoah.
