LACROSSE FALLS TO MARYMOUNT 14-3

 

NEWPORT NEWS, VACNU’s lacrosse team dropped a 14-3 decision to Marymount at home Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Captains had an early 2-1 lead with 3 ˝ minutes left in the first half when Marymount scored six unanswered goals to take a 7-2 halftime lead.

Sally Allstadt led the CNU attack with two goals.  Elaine Kirby added one goal and Hadley Silver added one assist.

Elizabeth Werbiskis had 11 saves in goal.

The Lady Saints out shot CNU 41-15.

The Lady Captains are now 1-1 on the season and have the next 15 days off as they host VA Wesleyan on March 19 at 4 pm.
