LACROSSE DOWNS FERRUM 18-3

FERRUM, VA – CNU’s lacrosse team bounced back from Thursday’s loss at Randolph-Macon with an 18-3 win at Ferrum Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Captains led 11-3 at the half.

Sally Allstadt, Celia Mallory, and Kristyn Hankins led CNU scoring three goals each. Elaine Kirby and Lori Bickham added two goals each and Hadley Silver, Kristen Conques, Renee Nagle, Lacey Milburn and Arissa Malick finished with one goal each.

Silver finished with four assists while Allstadt added two and Conques, Carlina Figueroa, Kirby, Mallory and Amy Zucharo contributed one assist apiece.

The Lady Captains out shot the Lady Panthers 46-11.

Elizabeth Werbiskis finished with four saves in goal.

CNU is now 3-6 overall and 2-0 in the USA South.

The Lady Captains return to action Sunday as they host Methodist with start time set for 3 pm.
