LACROSSE DOWNS AVERETT 21-3

DANVILLE, VA – CNU’s lacrosse team defeated Averett 21-3 Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Captains led at halftime 13-3.

Sally Allstadt led the scoring attack by scoring four goals adding one assist. Laura Hayes, Amy Zucharo and Kristin Johnson had three goals each. Johnson also added three assists to become the all-time assist leader in CNU history. She now has 15, breaking Maggie Olson’s record of 13.

Meagan Pfarr and Elaine Kirby added two goals apiece. Hadley Silver, Lacey Milburn, Megan Thompson and Stephanie Thiel added one goal each.

Silver also had two assists and Kirby and Pfarr added one hit assist each.

CNU out shot the Lady Cougars 44-5.

Elizabeth Werbiskis and Erin Bell each had one save in goal.

The Lady Captains are now 3-4 overall and 3-0 in the Dixie Conference.

CNU returns to action April 4 at Shenandoah with start time set for 4 pm.
