LACROSSE FINISHES REGULAR SEASON ON HI NOTE WITH 11-1 WIN OVER TRINITY
NEWPORT NEWS, VA – CNU’s lacrosse team hosted Trinity (DC) in its final game of the regular season and won 11-1.
The last 18 minutes of the game was suspended due to weather.
The Lady Captains led at the half 8-1.
Maggie Olson led the way with four goals. Wendy Wilson and Elaine Kirby added two apiece. With those two goals, Wilson now has 48 goals on the season, which is more then CNU scored as a team all of last season.
Amy Zucharo, Erin Bell and Lacey Milburn added one goal each.
Kristin Johnson had four assists, and Kirby and Wilson added one each.
Robyn Charles made two saves in goal.
CNU out shot Trinity 28-10.
The Lady Captains are now 6-8 overall and 4-0 in the Dixie Conference.
CNU returns to action this Saturday in the Dixie Conference Tournament held at Shenandoah.
