LACROSSE TEAM FINISHES REGULAR SEASON WITH A 19-6 WIN OVER TRINITY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – CNU’s lacrosse team completed its regular season schedule with a 19-6 win over Trinity (DC) Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Captains trailed 3-1 in the first half until they scored 10 unanswered goals to take an 11-3 lead at halftime.

Elaine Kirby led the CNU attack with five goals. Sally Allstadt, Lacey Milburn, and Laura Hayes added three goals each, Amy Zucharo and Kristin Johnson finished with two a piece and Hadley Silver added one goal. Allstadt also had one assist.

The Lady Captains outshot Trinity 36-9. Erin Bell played the entire game in goal and made three saves.

CNU is now 6-6 overall and returns to action this Friday in the semifinals of the Dixie Conference Tournament and they will play the winner of the Methodist/Averett contest at 4 pm.
