LACROSSE DEFEATS FERRUM 12-10 IN SEMI-FINALS OF DIXIE TOURNAMENT

WINCHESTER, VA – CNU’s lacrosse team advanced to the championship game of the Dixie Conference Tournament by defeated Ferrum 12-10 Saturday afternoon.

Wendy Wilson led the way with four goals. Kristin Johnson, Elaine Kirby, and Maggie Olson added two goals apiece and Hadley Silver and Lacey Milburn added one each.

Wilson, Johnson and Olson added one assist each as well.

The Lady Captains out shot the Lady Panthers 43-20.

Elizabeth Werbiskis had five saves in goal.

CNU is now 7-8 overall and will play Greensboro Sunday at 1pm for the Dixie Conference championship.
