SOFTBALL TAKES TWO OF THREE ON FIRST DAY OF METHODIST TOURN.

  FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The softball team opened its season by winning two of its three games on the opening day of the Methodist Invitational.

  In the first game CNU took an easy 13-0 victory over Wilson in five innings. Stacey Hundley was 2-2, Tammi Perok 2-3, Rene Sigafoos 2-2, Jenise Wade 2-4 with a doublev and a triple, Vanessa Gray was 2-2 with a double and Donna Cerami went the distance on the mound, tossing a two-hitter.

  CNU then defeated N.C. Wesleyan, 6-2, as Gray picked up the win on the mound with seven strikeouts. Perok and Jennifer Nowacki were both 2-4,

  Bridgewater then handed CNU its first loss, 3-0, as CNU got just two hits.

  The tournament concludes Saturday.
