SOFTBALL RUNS WINNING STREAK TO FIVE WITH 3-2, 3-0 WINS OVERSUSQUEHANNA

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The softball team played its first home games and took 3-0 and 3-2 wins over Susquehanna Thursday run run its winning streak to five games.

In the opener the Lady Captains won 3-2 behind the pitching of Donna Ceramiu who had five stikeouts and didn’t allow a run until the seventh inning. Stacey Hundley was 2-3, as were Jen Harrell and Cerami. Kelly Tellefson had a triple and all three RBIs.

Vanessa Gray hurled a shutout in the second game with four strikeouts and had a double and an RBI at the plate. Jennifer Nowacki had a triple and an RBI.

CNU, now 7-2, plays in the Virginia Wesleyan tournament Friday and Saturday.
