SOFTBALL SPLITS TWO GAMES ON DAY TWO OF SALISBURY TOURNAMENT

 

SALISBURY, MDCNU’s softball team lost to Rutgers-Camden 7-2 but bounced back to defeat York (PA) 8-0 to finish the tournament 3-1.

Against Rutgers-Camden, the Lady Captains had seven hits while allowing 16.  Michelle Kass suffered the loss and is now 5-3.  Andrea Rhode led CNU by going 2-for-2 and Susan Ishman finished 2-for-3.

Against York (PA), the Lady Captains won 8-0 in five innings.  Vanessa Gray was the winning pitcher as she improves to 8-0.  Dallas Slosjarik was 2-for-2 with a double and Lauren Batson finished 2-for-2.

CNU is now 13-3 and returns to action Thursday as they travel to Averett with first pitch set for 2:30 pm.
