SOFTBALL SPLITS TWO GAMES AT AVERETT

DANVILLE, VA – CNU’s softball squad defeated Averett 4-3 in game one and lost to the Lady Cougars in game two 4-2 Friday afternoon.

In game one, Tammi Perok Jen Harrell and Renee Sigafoos led CNU with two hits apiece. Vanessa Gray won her eighth game of the season.

In game two, Perok led the Lady Captains with three hits. Harrell added two more hits. Page Robbins suffered the loss and is now 1-3.

CNU is now 11-6 overall and 5-1 in the Dixie Conference.

The Lady Captains return to action this Tuesday at home against Ferrum beginning at 2:30 pm.
