DOUBLE NO-HITTERS: CERAMI, GRAY TOSS GEMS AGAINST SOUTHERN VIRGINIA

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Donna Cerami and Vanessa Gray each tossed no-hitters as the softball team swept Southern Virginia Monday at Captains Field.

In the opener Cerami had the no-hitter as Stacey Hundley went 2-3, Nicole Slosjarik was 3-3 with a double and Crystal Storey was 2-3.

Gray held Southern Virginia hitless. Jen Harrell was 2-4, Renee Sigafoos 1-2 with a three-run homer, Jennifer Nowacki 2-4 and Gray 2-3.

The Lady Captains are now 20-5, while Southern Virginia falls to 13-9. CNU hosts Chowan Wednesday.
