SOFTBALL DEFEATED LYNCHBURG 4-2, SECOND GAME RAINED OUT

LYNCHBURG, VA – CNU’s softball team took game one, 4-2 at Lynchburg, but saw the rains come and cancel game two Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Captains scored three runs in the sixth inning on a Rachel Doyle bases clearing triple.

Michelle Kass picked up her seventh win of the season striking out eight batters.

Jen Harrell was 2-for-3 and Cynthia McQueen was 1-for-3 with a triple and a RBI.

The Lady Captains are now 11-3-1 and return to action Thursday at home as they host Elizabeth City St. with first pitch set for 2:30 pm.
