SOFTBALL SWEEPS GREENSBORO WITH A PAIR OF 3-1 VICTORIES

 

GREENSBORO, NC – CNU’s softball team swept a double header from Greensboro Sunday afternoon by winning both games by a score of 3-1.

In game one, Michelle Kass improved to 10-4 throwing seven innings, allowing eight hits, one run, one walk and seven strikeouts.

Dallas Slosjarik and Lauren Batson led the Lady Captains going 2-for-4 with a run scored.  Susan Ishman finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

In game two, Vanessa Gray went the distance allowing four hits, one run, no walks and three strikeouts in picking up her 13th win of the year.

Renee Sigafoos went 2-for-3 with a double and Slosjarik finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a triple.  Andrea Rhode finished 1-for-3 with a RBI.

CNU is now 24-4 overall and 11-1 in the USA South.

The Lady Captains return to action this Thursday as they host Guilford with first pitch set for 2 pm.
