SOFTBALL SWEEPS DOUBLE HEADER FROM
The sweep upped the Lady Captains win streak to 13 games.
In game one, CJ McQueen did the job on the mound and at the plate, earning her second victory allowing ten hits, six runs, three walks and four strikeouts. At the plate, McQueen was 2-for-4 with two triples and three runs driven in. Dallas Slosjarik went 3-for-4 with a triple and a RBI and Renee Sigafoos went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Nicole Gray finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
In the nightcap, CNU came from behind for a 9-3 triumph.
Trailing 3-0 in the second inning, CNU went to the bullpen and Michelle Kass then proceeded to shut down
McQueen continued her hot bat finishing 2-for-3 with three runs scored, Angie Stonebreaker was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, Andrea Rhode finished 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and three RBIs, and Sigafoos finished 1-for-3 with a two-run double.
McQueen started the second game as well, allowing three runs on three hits while walking two and striking out one in 1 2/3 innings.
The Lady Captains are now 26-4 overall and return to action
this Saturday as they host
