SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH LYNCHBURG

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The softball team split a doubleheader at Lynchburg Friday, as both teams tossed shutouts.

CNU took the opener, 4-0, as Donna Cerami struck out nine in improving her record to 13-3. Stacey Hundley was 3-4 with a double and Jen Harrell was 2-4.

But in the second game both teams managed just three hits, with the Hornets getting all of theirs in the fifth inning and scoring the only run of the game.

CNU is now 24-7 and visits Ferrum Saturday. Lynchburg is 15-10.
