SOFTBALL SWEEPS VILLA JULIE

BALTIMORE, MD - CNU’s softball team traveled to Villa Julie Saturday afternoon and won both games 10-0 and 7-0.

In game one, which went five innings, Vanessa Gray pitched a one-hitter for the win and is now 12-3 on the year.

Stacey Hundley and Jen Harrell led the Lady Captains with two hits each. Dallas Slosjarik went 1-3 with a grand slam in the fourth inning.

In game two, Barbara Rose threw a two-hitter to earn her fifth win of the season.

Harrell led the way going 3-for-3. Hundley and Rachel Doyle added two hits in the win.

CNU is now 20-7 overall and 7-1 in the Dixie Conference.

The Lady Captains return to action this Tuesday as they host Ferrum with first pitch set for 2:30 pm.
