SOFTBALL SWEEPS METHODIST, EARNS SHARE OF DIXIE TITLE

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The softball team swept a doubleheader from Methodist Sunday, 2-1 and 3-2 and earned a share of the Dixie Conference regular season championship with the Monarchs.

In the first game the Lady Captains took a 2-0 lead in the first three innings and held on for the win. Vanessa Gray improved to 16-4 by scattering five singles. Tammi Perok was 2-3 and Jen Harrell 2-3 with a triple.

In game two Dallas Slosjarik was 3-4 with a double and Gray 2-3 with a double with a double as Page Robbins got the win. She is 6-4.

CNU is now 28-9 and 11-3 in Dixie play. The lady Captains host Emira Tuesday.
