SOFTBALL FALLS TO MUHLENBERG, ELIMINATED FROM NCAA REGIONAL

SALEM, Va. – The softball team took a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning in its NCAA Atlantic Regional game against Muhlenberg, but saw the Mules score six times in the seventh and take a 6-2 victory. The loss eliminates CNU from the regional.

CNU scored in the fourth when Vanessa Gray drove in Renee Sigafoos. Gray had blanked the Mules on the mound, but couldn’t contain them in the seventh.

Sigafoos had two hits, including a double, and Gray also had a double.

The loss ends CNU’s season with a 35-9 record, the second best in school history.
