SOFTBALL GETS THREE SHUTOUTS AT VA. WESLEWYAN TOURN.
NORFOLK, Va. – The softball team completed the first day of
the Virginia Wesleyan with an amazing three shutout wins.
CNU defeated Kenyon (O.), 1-0 in the first game as Donna Cerami
pitched a four-hitter and Stacey Hundley went 2-2.
In the second game CNU blanked Lebanon Valley, 8-0, as freshman
B.J. Biringer hurled a four-hitter. Tammi Perok was 2-2 in the game.
CNU closed play with a 2-0 victory over Salisbury St. as Cerami
pitched a two-hitter to run her record for the year to 8-0. Hundley went
3-3 and Jennifer Nowacki 2-2.
CNU plays in the championship bracket on Saturday with an 11-1
record.
