SOFTBALL SWEEPS GREENSBORO
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The softball team swept a doubleheader at
Greensboro Saturday, 5-2 and 5-1. Meanwhile the baseball game scheduled
for Saturday night at Greensboro was postponed and will be played as a
doubleheader at noon Sunday and the women’s tennis match at Ferrum was
postponed to Thursday, April 20 at will be played at 9 a.m. at CNU.
In the opener CNU had seven hits with Crystal Bryant-Nelson
going 2-3. Donna Cerami got the victory, improving to 21-5.
In game two B.J. Biringer hurled a two-hitter to improve to
7-2. Jen Harrell was 3-4, Lesley Jenkins 2-4 with two RBIs and Jenise Wade
went 2-3 with a double.
The victories raised CNU’s record to 29-9-1 as it heads to a
doubleheader at Averett on Sunday.
