SOFTBALL WIN STREAK REACHS EIGHT IN SWEEP AT RANDOLPH-MACON
ASHLAND, Va. – The CNU softball team swept a doubleheader from Randolph-Macon Wednesday, 9-1 and 9-0, both in five innings.
In the first game CNU scored all its runs in the first two innings. Donna Cerami got the win, improving her record to 16-4. She was also 2-3 at the plate with a double and four RBIs. Jen Harrell was 2-3, as was Jennifer Nowacki.
B.J. Biriniger was the winner in the second game, improving to 5-2. Kim Messick went 2-4 with a triple, Stacey Hundley 2-4, Crystal Storey 2-3, Harrell 2-3 and Nowacki hit her fifth home run of the season.
The wins gave CNU an eight-game winning streak and a 22-8-1 record. The Lady Captains host Lynchburg on Friday.
